Infanta Mayor Filipina Grace R. America, together with Mayor-elect Rodante G. Potes and members of the Sangguniang Bayan, conferred the cash prize and certificate to the winning schools of the logo contest during the celebration of 115th Philippine Independence held on June 12, 2013 at Infanta Social Center. Two schools were declared as winners out of the 22 schools that participated in the contest. They are Libjo Elementary School and ACTS Computer College – Infanta. They both received a cash prize of P3, 000.00 and a certificate.
The move to come up with a new logo is in response to the clamor of the civil society organizations and other sectors asserting that the logo should serve as a reflection of the municipality. Also, they claim that it should embody the development vision of the town.
As a result, the Office of the Municipal Mayor organized a logo contest among public and private schools in the municipality including local colleges. It was officially launched during the commemoration of November 29 disaster in 2012.
The two winning entries were then merged to come-up with a one and final logo. The final logo was subsequently adopted by the Sangguniang Bayan of Infanta through Municipal Ordinance No. 09-S. 2013 entitled, “An Ordinance Adopting the New Municipal Logo/Seal of the Municipality of Infanta, Quezon.”
